• August 15: Administration must notify you of any major changes to your teaching schedule.

• Orientation Day: Class rosters shall be provided to all teachers.

• August 28: 

  • Staff training slide show must be complete.

    • Bloodborne Pathogens Training must be complete.

September:

• September 1st: 

  • • SOS suicide training must be complete.  (This may be completed in lieu of the September faculty meeting.)

October:

• October 1: Class size compliance cut off date.

• Last day of October: (Evaluation) Last day to have Beginning of the Year Conference with Administration.

November:

• First Monday of November:
  -(Evaluation) Professional Growth Plan approval by Administration.
  -(Evaluation) Middle School/High School SLO/SOO approval by
          Administration.

• November 30: 
  -(Evaluation) Elementary SLO/SOO approval by Administration.
  -(Evaluation) Last day for completion of the first observation.

December:

• December 15: Retirement notification to be eligible to receive retirement bonus for unused sick time. 

January:

• January 2: Request for Sabbatical leave for the following September.

February:

• Last day of February:
  -(Evaluation): Last day for the middle of the year conference.
  -(Evaluation): Last day for second observation. 

March:

• March 1st: Class size compliance cut off date for second semester classes.

• March 10th: NEA Smithfield General Membership Meeting @ Smithfield High School, 4pm

April:

May:

• May 1: Middle School preference sheets submission to principal.

• May 14: Last day to submit your Professional Development documentation to receive credit for your 5.5 hours.

• May 31: (Evaluation) Last day for the third observation.

June:

• Three days prior to the last day of school: (Evaluation): End of the year conference.
